Cultural Fair

Cultural Fair is a time where the students give information of each department of Honduras and sell food & other things. The students have to look for information about each place. They have to do all this things in Social Studies. People come to see the things the students have prepared. All the students have to make huts.
The students prepared their huts a day before the cultural fair. Some of the students didn’t finish their huts. Some of the huts were really impressive, but some of them weren’t.  The ones that day, finished the next day, the day of the fair. Some students used natural materials, but some of them didn’t.
We prepared the cultural fair in the Social Studies class with our teacher Osiris Murillo. It took like 1 or 2 months to finish. When had to choose something to sell. We looked for information to present it to our teacher. It was like 30% of our grade in Social Studies.
The food that the students sold was very delicious. There was fish, corn, tamales, sugar cane and more. I think the group that sold the most was Atlántida, they sold fish. The bad thing was that it was not very cheap. The ones that were in that group were 9th graders.
On the cultural fair I had to talk about “El Paraiso” with Ana Raquel, Nathalie & Hugo. We won third place. Lempira won second place and finally the group of “Atlántida” won the first place. For the price they gave us money.
